My Role
This was a studio challenge at Designit to come up with an experience for a digital museum. I had to understand the different offerings from Museum of Art & Photography(MAP) and create a concept exploring different ways this museum could be experienced by its patrons.
Challenge
How might we
transform the way people understand and experience culture and heritage through art and photography such that a sense of community is fostered?
The museum wanted to stand out and be relevant to all generations. To create a delightful museum experience, showing it’s curations such that the patron would want to explore and learn more about the exhibits in the museum’s collections.
The museum also wanted to boost it’s memberships and engage actively with it’s patrons via official communications and events.
Status Quo
A simple website catalogue of artefacts in the museum’s collections. No smart way to navigate, find artefacts and engage with the user.
